Why A Cairn?
The Cairn Terrier originated in the 16th century Scotland on the Isle of Skye. They were used to flush out foxes, etc. Of course the most famous Cairn was 'Toto' of "The Wizard of Oz". For a wonderful dog to add as a member of the family you can not beat a Cairn Terrier as a pet. They are excellent pets, show and agility dogs. Cairns love to socialize, have high intelligence and a remarkable ability to sense moods and adjust their behavior. Cairns can be playful outdoors, devoted, eager to please and loving pets. Cairns are good dogs for children as long as there is an introduction and supervision so the child is aware that this is a family member and should be treated with kindness and love.
